Samba Steak and Sushi in Framingham will close on Sunday at 8 p.m. and will remain closed on Monday to celebrate an employee appreciation day. The restaurant will reopen on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Samba’s owners Joseph Zhang and Sam Xu said they’re holding this employee appreciation day as a way “to thank our hardworking staff for doing a great job all year.” Zhang and Xu will treat the entire staff, from busboy to sushi chef, to a whitewater rafting and camping adventure in Maine.

Wednesday, June 20 is the The 200 Foundation’s 48th Annual Gala Dinner. The guest of honor will be Charlie “The Mad Fisherman” Moore.
Sponsored by Samba Steak & Sushi, the Framingham restaurant will create a special “Mad Fish Maki Roll” fin honor of Moore for the event.
Samba said it is sponsoring the event as it appreciates the work of The 200 Foundation and wants to join in the effort to help those underprivileged in their local communities.
“Taking care of those in need in our local communities is very important to us at Samba. We appreciate the good work that the 200 Foundation does, and we’re proud to partner in their cause and offer our support,” said Joseph Zhang, Samba Steak and Sushi House owner.

Samba Steak & Sushi House is partnering with Salon Entré Nous in supporting the fight against breast cancer. On Tuesday, Nov. 1, Samba will be hosting their first-ever fashion show along with a sushi and cocktail hour. Donations of $15 will be accepted at the door. Fashion is being donated by Cocoon and Threads of Hopkinton. Breast Cancer survivors will be participating as models for the evening.
All proceeds go to support the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the fashion show begins at 7 p.m.
“Samba is so proud to be joining in the fight against a disease that continues to affect so many lives,” said Joseph Zhang, owner of Samba Steak and Sushi House. “We’re so happy that we can lend our support to this night, and to such an important cause, and invite everyone to come and take part in what is sure to be a very special evening at Samba.”
Samba Steak and Sushi House is a fusion restaurant offering hibachi, sushi and entrees that combine traditional Japanese cuisine with South American spices.
